November 16, 1957 — Lansford scores a pair of first-half touchdowns and its defense comes up with key turnovers to help gain a 12-0 victory over Nesquehoning. A Jim Steber fumble recovery leads to the Panthers first score in the opening quarter, as Joe Kralick tosses a 24-yard scoring pass to Bob Brennan on a fourth-down play. In the second frame, Lansford extends its lead when Bob Early breaks away for a 65-yard punt return. The winners, coached by Dick Forster, also thwart scoring threats with interceptions by Kralick and Ron Swider.
