The Padora and Berger families, owners of the Tamaqua Italian bakery and Padora’s Six Pack House, are offering a unique way for local residents to participate in the Marine Corps League’s Toys for Tots program.
From now until Dec. 14, anyone who brings a new, unwrapped toy to the Six Pack House or bakery on Railroad Street will receive a loaf of Italian bread.
The exchange has become a tradition for the families and this year marks the first without one of its driving forces, Carolyn Padora, who passed away earlier this year.
The bakery is located at 122 Railroad St., Tamaqua, with hours from noon to 2 p.m., Monday through Saturday. The sandwich shop is at 209 Railroad St., with hours until 10 p.m. most days.
For more information, call the bakery at 570-668-3200.
The Berger and Padora families are continuing their tradition of offering a free loaf of Tamaqua Italian Bakery bread in exchange for a new, unwrapped toy for the Toys for Tots campaign. Family members include: Trinity Padora, Amber Berger Murphy, Cillian Murphy, Cheyenne Padora and Astin Murphy. CONTRIBUTED PHOTO
