November 10, 1978 — Dave Slonaker scores four touchdowns and Panther Valley rolls to a 54-20 victory over North Schuylkill. Slonaker reaches the end zone three times on rushing plays, scoring on runs of 4, 1 and 2 yards, and also catches a 34-yard TD toss from Ed Shubeck. The Panthers, coached by Trevor Lawrence, also receive two other touchdown passes as Shubeck hits Tom Pisko with a 47-yard strike and Jim Moyer tosses a 15-yard TD to Dave Bonner. Shubeck throws for 114 yards in the win while Greg Cutler accounts for PV’s other score on a 35-yard fumble return.
