Pleasant Valley graduate Sekou Jones was recently named the Eastern Division Athlete of the Week.

Jones had 10 tackles, two forced fumbles, a pass breakup and a fumble recovery for a touchdown in East Stroudsburg University’s 37-27 win at Lock Haven. Jones recovered dropped snap in end zone for touchdown and 21-0 lead just over 10 minutes into game and had both forced fumble in fourth quarter.

Jones has 75 tackles, seven tackles for loss, sack, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries in nine games for ESU.

His career totals are 215 career tackles, 22 TFLs, six sacks as a three-year starter (26 career starts).

A part of a Warriors defense that has 29 takeaways (third in DII) and 21 fumble recoveries (first in DII).
