Democrat Michael O’Pake defeated incumbent Christine Holman for Schuylkill district attorney.
Another contested race was for Carbon County register of wills/clerk of courts. Jean Papay defeated Deb Gigliotti by a slim margin.
The Flip the Board candidates had success in Lehighton school district, with Gail Maholick, Joy Beers and David Bradley gaining seats.
Thomas Yanac defeated incumbent Bob Allen for Monroe County coroner.
District magistrates Casimir T Kosciolek in Carbon and Colleen Mancuso in Monroe held off challenges for their seats

Slatington
Russell W. Hallman, Jason Ruff and Michael Brogan Sr. are the top vote getters for the four-year term on Slatington Borough Council. There are 229 write-ins.
Daniel Stevens and Bryon Reed are the top vote-getters for the two-year term on Council.
Penn Forest
In Penn Forest Township, Tom Cross won the six-year term for supervisor, defeating Roger L Meckes by a 592-546 margin.
Meckes won the 2-year seat on the supervisors board.
Towamensing
In the race for Towamensing Township tax collector, Brenda Drew defeated Joyce Borger by a 353-280 margin.
