Pocono Mountain Regional police, in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration, hosted the National Prescription Take Back program at police headquarters from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
As a result, about 46.8 pounds of prescription medications were collected. The take back program provides an opportunity for Americans to prevent drug addiction and overdose deaths, a release from Pocono police stated.
