State police at Frackville are looking for the owner of two items found at an abandoned home.

Troopers said a Winchester model 1903, .22-caliber rifle in a black case and a stainless steel sword in a sheath, were found on the front porch of the home located at the intersection of 10th and Chestnut streets in Ashland. The items were found at 5:54 p.m. Friday by children playing in a nearby yard.

The owner of the items can claim them by calling troopers at 570-874-5600 and referring to incident number PA2017-1155979.
