A Boy Scout leader is facing assault charges after he allegedly grabbed two scouts and hit their heads together.
The alleged incident occurred at Hawk Mountain Boy Scout Camp in Wayne Township, Schuylkill County on the night of Oct. 14.
According to state police at Schuylkill Haven, scout leader Matthew McKeon, 28, of Birdsboro, Berks County, assaulted the scouts after speaking with them about their involvement in a Cub Scout Halloween costume contest.
At the conclusion of the conversation, he allegedly grabbed the two juveniles and hit their heads together.
The scouts complained of headaches and concussion-like symptoms.
State police said they plan to file charges of simple assault, endangering the welfare of children, and harassment against McKeon. No further details were available.
