Joseph C. Scheponik, 53, of Kulpmont, suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 6:48 a.m. on Route 61 in Blythe Township, according to state police at the Frackville barracks.

Police said he was driving a 2015 Jeep Liberty southbound when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway.

The vehicle struck an embankment on the western berm and rolled over, coming to rest on its roof in the right lane of traffic.

He was transported by ambulance to the Schuylkill Medical Center-East, Pottsville.

Police said he was cited for the incident.

The Jeep was towed from the scene.
