Carbon County court

The following defendants entered guilty pleas in Carbon County court on Tuesday in drug-related cases.

Judge Joseph J. Matika accepted the pleas from the following:

Nesquehoning incident

Danielle Diane Eremus

, 29, of Nesquehoning, pleaded to one count of possession of drug paraphernalia and a companion charge of false identification to law enforcement.

On March 23, Nesquehoning police went to 85 W. Ridge St. to serve a warrant on Eremus in another matter. As police arrived, they saw her leaving the residence. She was stopped by officers and gave a false name, then fled on foot, but was eventually taken into custody.

They returned to the residence where the owner said she was staying in a room at the home and that police could search it. Drug paraphernalia was found in the room.

On the false ID charge, Matika sentenced her to time-served in the county prison (87 days) to one year and ordered her to get a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow any recommendation for treatment, zero tolerance for drug and alcohol use and render 50 hours of community service.

On the drug count, she was placed on probation for a year, consecutive to the first count.

Other pleas

Christopher Balderston

, 30, of White Haven, formerly of Weatherly, pleaded to one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was arrested on July 1 along Main Street by Weatherly police following a traffic stop.

He was placed on probation for a year and ordered to get a drug and alcohol evaluation and render 50 hours of community service.

Amanda Celeste Reed

, 36, of McAdoo, pleaded to one count of possession of drug paraphernalia and a summary offense of public drunkenness. A charge of possession of a controlled substance was dropped in a plea bargain.

She was arrested on Jan. 17 by Mahoning Township police at the Walmart store. She was found in the store in an incoherent condition. Police said she was under the influence of illegal substances.

She was placed on probation for a year and ordered to get both a drug and alcohol and mental health evaluations, zero tolerance for drug and alcohol use and render 50 hours of community service.

On the summary offense she was fined $100 and costs.

Rich Daniel Erbe

, 28, of Tresckow, pleaded to one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was arrested on May 9, 2016, by state police at Hazleton at an East Market Street address in Tresckow. Troopers went to the residence with an officer of children and youth on a welfare check. Erbe was found in the basement area of the home with another person and also found were various pills he did not have a prescription for.

He was originally charged with 14 criminal counts including possession with intent to deliver. Thirteen of the counts were dropped in a plea bargain.

He was placed on probation for a year and ordered to get a drug and alcohol evaluation and render 50 hours of community service.

Sean F. Leindecker

, 31, of Bethlehem, pleaded to one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was arrested on June 30 by Lansford police in the area of East Bertsch and Walnut streets, following a vehicle stop.

He was placed on probation for a year and ordered to get a drug and alcohol evaluation and render 50 hours of community service.

Edwin Michael Figueroa

, 30, of Tamaqua, pleaded to one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was arrested on April 21 by Weatherly police along Hudsondale Street following a vehicle stop. He was a passenger in the vehicle.

He was placed on probation for a year and ordered to get a drug and alcohol evaluation and render 50 hours of community service.

Terrell W. Gracia

, 31, of Blakeslee, pleaded to one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was arrested on Jan. 27 by state police at Fern Ridge along South Lake Drive in Kidder Township following a traffic stop. He was a passenger in the vehicle.

He was placed on probation for six months and ordered to render 25 hours of community service.

Nicole M. Lettich

, 42, of Walnutport, pleaded to one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

She was arrested on April 17 by Nesquehoning police in the area of West Rhume Street.

She was placed on probation for six months.

Each defendant must also pay court costs of about $1,000 and a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation or parole.
