West Penn Township supervisors also took the following action Monday morning.
• Agreed to disburse $30,183 to the West Penn Township Fire Relief Association from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Fire Relief Programs.
• Agreed to spend $2,794 to upgrade the police department’s access control system magnetic lock with door release.
• Announced that possible adoption of the West Penn Township Property Maintenance Ordinance could occur at the board’s Nov. 6 meeting.
• Announced that the West Penn Township Fire Department has asked the township to give more money to the fire department’s budget per the Pennsylvania Act 172 Firefighters Ordinance. The matter is expected to be revisited at the board’s budget workshop at 9 a.m. Nov. 20.
