A Stroudsburg man failed to stop for police after committing a traffic violation and led them on a 30-minute chase that ended when he approached a roadblock.

State police at Lehighton said they saw the red Dodge Ram 3500 commit the violation at 12:43 a.m. Oct. 9 on Route 209 northbound, just south of Route 715 in Brodheadsville, and chased it until a rolling roadblock was used to stop the vehicle on Sorrel Street in Stroudsburg.

The driver, Jason Summers, 40, was taken into custody without incident.

He is being charged with aggravated assault, fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, DUI- controlled substance and other offenses.
