Spooky days

Quiet Valley, Monroe County’s living historical farm, will host Spooky Days on the farm Oct. 27, 28 and 29

On Friday and Saturday the hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. There will be a murder mystery and everyone is invited to figure out whodunit. There will also be other strange things happening.

On Saturday and Sunday afternoon, from 1 to 5 p.m., there will be some not-so-scary activities, including a wagon ride, crafts, singing and dancing and other surprises.

Spaghetti dinner

The West End Fire Company in Brodheadsville is a spaghetti dinner from 3 to 8 p.m. Oct. 28.

Children under 5 eat free.

The West End Fire Company is also holding a trunk or treat event from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, at the Brodheadsville firehouse.

It is a free Halloween event.

WITNESS coming

St. Peter’s UMC, Saylorsburg, will welcome WITNESS on Oct. 29, beginning at 10 a.m.

The group has been presenting the gospel of Christ through music to people of all denominations in many churches within the Lehigh Valley and the Poconos.

Christian education classes begin at 9 a.m. Coffee and fellowship follows worship.

Extension celebration

Monroe County’s 101st annual meeting and volunteer recognition banquet will be held from 6-8 p.m. Nov. 16 at the Sycamore Grille in Delaware Water Gap.

There are four different cost rates: Extension Board, 4-H PAC/leaders, Master Gardeners and public and guests. RSVP and payment deadline is Nov. 1.
