Wednesday night the Weatherly School Board recognized its students of the month before getting underway with its meeting.

Senior of the month Joel Hinkle is the son of Kimberly and David. He is president of the high school band, a member of the track and field team, a chorus and band member and volunteers for Toys for Tots.

Eighth-grade student Jacqueline Bartel, the daughter of Lisa and William, is a member of the junior high basketball and softball team. Her sister Jill Bartel served as this month’s student representative during the board meeting.

Emma Kane was recognized for seventh grade. The daughter of Valerie and James, she is a member of the junior high basketball and softball teams.

Jack James was recognized as the sixth-grade student of the month.
