Parades

• Palmerton Halloween Parade, 4 p.m. Oct. 15. Rain date, 7 p.m. Oct. 16.

• Andreas Halloween Parade, 7 p.m. Oct. 18. Parade formation begins at 6:15 p.m. at the Andreas Sporting Club. The rain date is Oct. 19.

• Lehighton Halloween parade, 4 p.m. Oct. 21.

• Eldred Halloween parade, 1 p.m. Oct. 22.

• Tamaqua Halloween parade: 7 p.m. Oct. 24. Registration deadline Oct. 17.

• 110th annual Northern Lehigh Halloween Parade: 6 p.m. Oct. 28. Rain date is Oct. 29.

• Jim Thorpe Halloween Parade: 4 p.m. Oct. 29, rain or shine. The date for the deadline to register for the Jim Thorpe Halloween parade has been changed to Oct. 20. Call Jim Trainer 570-325-4104 with any questions.

Other events

• The Owl Creek Reservoir Commission will hold its annual Fall Foliage hay rides and festival on Oct. 14 and 15. In addition to the 2.2-mile long hay rides, festivalgoers will find pumpkin decorating, face painting, marshmallow roasting over a campfire and more. Food and refreshments will be available. Saturday hours will be from 2 to 10 p.m., with hauntings after dusk, while Sunday’s hours will be from noon to 5 p.m. Rain dates will be Oct. 21 and Oct. 22.

• Stroud Region Open Space & Recreation Commission is hosting a haunted trail event on Oct. 28. The Friendly Trail is 5-6:30 p.m. and the Haunted Trail is 7:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m. at Zacharias Pond Park. Rain date is Oct. 29, same times. We are looking for individuals or groups to volunteer in numerous different ways. Setup times will vary.
