Penn-Kidder Library schedules events
Penn-Kidder Library Center is holding the following events:
Oct. 12 and 26: LEGO & Game Nite. Every second and fourth Thursday from 4-6 p.m. come have fun at our LEGO build nights. A different theme and project each week will get your building ideas going. For ages 5-10. Games are also available for the whole family to sit and play.
Oct. 16: Domestic Abuse Awareness Month. Counselor Amanda from Domestic Violence will man an informational table at the library from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and answer any questions people may have.
Oct. 17: Every third Tuesday from 4-6 p.m., the Wiggle Walkers, a gathering for young adults with varying abilities to do crafts and other activities and socialize.
Oct. 19: Computer Club. Every first and third Thursday join Jeff and his Computer Club to get computer questions answered or help you with your devices.
Every Wednesday at 11 a.m.: Story Time for preschoolers and their caregivers. Come hear a wonderful children’s story followed by a related activity, approximately 1 hour.
Every Friday at 11 a.m.: Knit and Crochet Circle. Join us with your projects and questions at this informal gathering. Call to confirm each week.
Oct. 28: Special Saturday Event. Native American Honoring Mother Earth Event featuring guest speaker Josh Kuchs of the Lenape Tribe from noon-3 p.m. The Friends of the Penn-Kidder Library will be serving authentic tribal foods for a small donation. Arts and crafts will be available for everyone.
Oct. 30: Book Club meets the last Monday of the month at 11:45 a.m. to discuss the book of the month. This month it is “Camino Island” by John Grisham. Bring your own brown bag lunch.
The Friends of the Library accept donations of next to new books (only one grocery bag per week per person please) and small flea market items to support the library. We invite home-schoolers to visit the library on a regular basis. We are located in Pine Point Plaza, Route 903, Albrightsville.
Library hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 noon, and also Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 4-6 p.m. during which times our public computers and Wi-Fi are available for use. We also provide copy and outgoing fax services for small donation fees.
