The Panther Valley Chamber of Commerce announced it will honor Richard “Dick” Edwards of Lansford and James “Jimmy” Fauzio of Nesquehoning, at its annual awards dinner to be held Oct. 22 in the Nesquehoning Recreation Center.
Edwards is a leading merchant, humanitarian and civic worker in the region, having guided the destiny of Bright’s Department Store as its president-general manager and chairman of the board.
Fauzio is the titular head of the Fauzio family which preserved the anthracite industry in the Panther Valley, having worked in that industry since he was 9 years old, rising to the head of Fauzio Brothers.
Attorney Thomas McCready, well-known local attorney, will be master of ceremonies for the dinner program.
