One person was injured Tuesday evening in a crash along Route 309 in Rush Township.
The crash occurred about a quarter mile north of the intersection of Route 309 and Ben Titus Road.
One of the two vehicles came to rest off the south bound berm about a hundred feet in a brush area while the second vehicle came to rest in the north bound lanes.
One person was treated at the scene by members of the Tamaqua ambulance and Lehighton paramedics before being flown by MedEvac helicopter to an area trauma center.
The Hometown Fire Company responded with their fire police maintaining traffic control at the scene shutting down the northbound lanes, detouring the traffic. The Rush township police are investigating the incident.
