Funeral services set for Lehighton man killed in crash

Services have been announced for a Lehighton man killed in a crash near Slatington on Monday.

Ronald D. Graver Jr., 51, of Towamensing Township,. died Monday in Washington Township.

Born in Lehighton, he was a son of Carolyn J. (Strohl) Graver and the late Ronald D. Graver Sr. Ronald graduated from the Palmerton High School and The Carbon County Vocational Technical School, Class of 1984 where he was enrolled in the Auto Body Repair program.

He was employed as a farmer for Johnson Farms, and worked as an auto body/mechanical technician for T Johnson Auto Body. He previously worked for New England Motor Freight as a mechanic.

He was a member of Zion United Church of Christ. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his loving family. In his spare time, he loved watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, The Philadelphia Phillies, and Dale Earnhardt on the NASCAR circuit. Surviving in addition to his mother is a brother, Robert M. Graver and his wife Shannon of Lehighton, maternal grandmother, Frances Deganich of Lehighton, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Lafayette & Beatrice Graver.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, at 2 p.m. at The Ovsak Funeral Home, 190 S. 4th

St., Lehighton with the Rev. Dr. Jennifer Bannerman officiating.
