Soprano Mandy Brown will be the featured artist, along with Sherry Freund on the piano, at the next Palmerton Area Library Concert at 3 p.m. Saturday.
The recital is titled, “The Shakespearience: Lyrical Lines & Leading Ladies” and will be presented in the upstairs gallery at the library.
Brown has performed with the Washington National Opera, Washington D.C.’s Gourmet Symphony, the Chautauqua Opera and at the Kennedy Center. Her performances have brought her praise for her rich, warm voice and refreshing honesty in her dramatic interpretations. She has been proclaimed as “completely winning” by the Chautauquan Daily and “consistently impressive” by the D.C. Theatre Scene.
The concert is sponsored by the Friends of the Palmerton Area Library, but attendees are welcome to make a donation at the door.
This is Brown’s second time performing in concert at the library. In 2015, she presented her program, “Dances, Ditties, Ballads & Rags.”
