A Lansford woman is facing charges of forgery and theft stemming from two incidents earlier this year in which she entered a relative’s home on Fourth Street in Jim Thorpe, stole checks and forged them.
Gina Marie Raczkowski of the 200 block of West Bertsch Street is charged in connection with incidents that happened between May 6-19 and on June 12.
In the first case, Jim Thorpe police said the woman is facing 12 counts of forgery and one count each of theft by unlawful taking or disposition and receiving stolen property. Police said she stole checks from the home of relatives, forged their names and cashed them to receive a total of $1,817.
In the second case, Raczkowski is charged with burglary, forgery, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking or disposition and receiving stolen property. Police said it is alleged she entered the same home on Fourth Street and stole checks, forging and cashing them to receive $300.
