A Schuylkill County man is dead following a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning in Schuylkill County.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said the incident occurred at 6 a.m. along 1113 Long Run Road in Wayne Township.

Police said the crash occurred as a 2002 Saturn SL operated by William Long, 26, of Cressona Road, Pottsville, was traveling westbound on Route 443 and a 2015 Nissan Rogue operated by Donna Yeager, 60, of Tow Path Lane, Pine Grove, was traveling eastbound on 443.

That’s when police said the Saturn crossed over the dotted yellow line into the eastbound lane and struck the Nissan.

The Saturn continued westbound, where it struck a cement slab and came to rest facing south off the westbound shoulder.

Long was not wearing his seat belt, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Nissan continued eastbound, where it overturned and came to rest on its roof facing south off the eastbound shoulder.

Yeager was wearing her seat belt and only sustained moderate injuries.

She was flown by helicopter to Geisinger Hospital in Danville for moderate injuries.
