Engines and personnel from the Jim Thorpe Fire Department responded Monday afternoon around 4 p.m. to a fire in a train car near the new borough bridge in Jim Thorpe after a cleaning person noticed smoke coming out of the overhead alcove of a car. Firefighters pulled the overhead of the car's interior down, and while they saw no flames, there was quite a bit of smoke coming out of it.
