It was a milestone for Tamaqua last night. The football team gave the school its 500th victory.

And what a win it was!

The Raiders topped Blue Mountain, 48-28, in a game that was supposed to be a test whether Tamaqua is as good as its record indicates. For the Raiders, the test was aced thanks to a superb team effort with underclassmen doing an incredible job.

The win gives Tamaqua a 5-0 mark halfway through the season while BM drops to 1-4.
