Aquashicola Fire Company in Lower Towamensing Township is accepting donations for hurricane victims affected by Harvey and Irma.
Firefighters are collecting goods until Sept. 30 to help those needing assistance as a result of the two storms.The fire station will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. during the week and on weekends from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The station will also be open from 6 to 9 p.m. on Monday evenings.Anyone wishing to donate but who is unable to make any of those times should call the fire company at 610-826-2066. Members are collecting cleaning supplies, nonperishable food, pet supplies, household goods, toiletries and cooking utensils. Clothing will be accepted but should be cleaned and in very good condition or new.Monetary donations will be accepted and divided between the American Red Cross and Salvation Army.
