Area seniors residing in the 183rd Legislative District are invited to Rep. Zach Mako's Senior Expo onFriday at Bethany Wesleyan Church in Cherryville.
"I am excited to host this senior expo," said Mako, R-Lehigh/Northampton. "My predecessor held this event for many years, and I know to expect a large crowd. I encourage senior citizens, their family members and caregivers to stop by for some great information, valuable health screenings and a chance to meet up with old friends."The expo is free to attend and will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The church is located at 675 Blue Mountain Drive, Cherryville.Seniors who attend the expo will have the opportunity to visit with more than 70 local, state and federal agencies and organizations offering information on programs and services available to seniors. Free flu shots will be available, assuming no manufacturing delays. Free vision and blood pressure screenings also will be offered, along with balance assessments.The Pennsylvania Mobile Veterans Service Van will be present to assist veterans.
