Defendants in pending criminal cases entered guilty pleas before Carbon County Judge Steven R. Serfass.

Michael Scott Lepka, 30, pleaded guilty to unlawful contact with a minor, a felony.He admitted to contacting a 14-year-old girl via social media and telling her he wanted to have sex with her. He also requested nude pictures of her.Serfass deferred sentencing pending a sex offender assessment.Randy Scott Green Jr., 36, of Jim Thorpe, pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle without required financial responsibility, operating a vehicle without a valid inspection, failing to use a safety belt and permitting violation of title, for an incident on June 12, 2015.Serfass assessed a total of $410 in fines.Jeffrey Hungshang Lee, 53, of Bartonsville, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence for an incident on Aug. 20, 2016.Serfass deferred sentencing pending a drug and alcohol evaluation.Jordyn Rae Byers, 21, of Philadelphia, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance for an incident on Sept. 4, 2016.Serfass sentenced her to one year probation, assessed her $650, and ordered her to perform 50 hours community service.Kenneth Becker, 56, of Albrightsville, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence for an incident on April 7, 2015.Serfass sentenced him to six months probation and a $300 fine.Laura Kay Andrews, 34, no current address, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of a controlled substance in two separate cases on Nov. 21, 2015, and Aug. 6, 2016.Serfass sentenced her to serve 12 to 60 months in each case, to be served concurrently, a total of 200 hours of community service, $5,000 in fines, and her license was suspended for a total of 36 months.She was given credit for 33 days time served.Holly Ann Rider, 43, of Jim Thorpe, entered pleas in four cases. She pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of a controlled substance for two separate incidents, on Aug. 31, 2015, and Oct. 12, 2015.She pleaded guilty to scattering rubbish for a Sept. 9, 2016, incident.She pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia for an incident on Sept. 1.Serfass deferred sentencing pending a comprehensive drug and alcohol assessment.Desiree Louise Kaminitisky, 30, of Jim Thorpe, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of a controlled substance for an incident on Jan. 3, 2016.Serfass deferred sentencing pending a comprehensive drug and alcohol assessment.
