Nathan Lane coming to State Theatre

Nathan Lane, the multitalented, award-winning star of stage and screen, is coming to the State Theatre, 453 Northampton St. in Easton at 3 p.m. Oct. 22.

The evening will begin with a showing of one of Lane's most defining and hilarious films, "The Birdcage," on the big screen.Following the film, Lane will share behind-the-scenes stories from his life and career. He will also answer audience-submitted questions during the Q&A.With a career of unforgettable roles in "The Producers" on both Broadway and in the feature film, recurring roles on "Modern Family" and "The Good Wife," the voice of Timon in "The Lion King," and of course, the fabulous Albert Goldman in "The Birdcage," there's no telling where the discussion could go.Lane recently made his national theater debut in Tony Kushner's "Angels in America." His role as Roy Cohn has earned him critical acclaim.On Broadway, he has starred in numerous plays, racking up Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle awards and nominations.He has received six Primetime Emmy nominations, two Daytime Emmy Awards and The People's Choice Award.He has appeared in more than 35 films, earning Golden Globe nominations, and Screen Actors Guild and American Comedy Awards and nominations.In 2006 Lane received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and in 2008 he was inducted into The American Theater Hall of Fame.Tickets are available by visiting the State Theatre Box Office, calling 800-999-STATE or 610-252-3132 or online at
