The Monroe County Women's Commission will meetSept. 7 at the Eastern Pocono Community Library on Route 611 in Stroudsburg. The group is a branch of the Pennsylvania Commission for Women, which advises on policies and legislation which affect women, and to encourage mentoring programs for girls and women.

The group meets on the first Thursday of every month.Members of Monroe County women's advocacy groups are welcome to attend to discuss issues important to their goals.
