Earlier this year, the Mauch Chunk High School Alumni Association decided to disband. With a sizable amount of money in the treasury, it was decided to contribute the money to some local organizations. Both the Mauch Chunk Museum & Cultural Center and the Dimmick Memorial Library were given generous donations.
