Local residents gather in protest outside the Carbon County Courthouse Annex to protest white supremacist riots in Charlottesville on Wednesday. Members of the Carbon County AFL-CIO, Palmerton Democratic Club and the All Faiths Fellowship joined for an hour long silent protest for drivers, tourists and passers-by to see. Signs held by the protesters denounced Nazism and the Ku Klux Klan. The protestors also honored Heather Heyer, a counter protester who was killed on Saturday in Charlottesville.
