Firefighters from Mahoning Valley and Lehighton work to free a woman from her overturned sport utility vehicle in Mahoning Township Tuesday afternoon.

The crash occurred at 2:47 p.m. as the woman was traveling east on Mahoning Drive west in a Kia and lost control swerving to the right, striking a large barn. The car re-entered the roadway rolling onto its side.

Mahoning Township police are investigating the incident.

The driver was transported by ambulance for treatment of injuries.
