A McAdoo man was taken to the Schuylkill County prison in Pottsville after a drug bust by the Schuylkill County Drug Task Force.

Thomas Salata III, 42, was arrested after a controlled buy at 11:40 p.m. on July 20. The "deal" was made by text message for the purchase of $100 worth of methamphetamine. After the sale Salata was searched and found to have meth and OxyContin in his possession.He was charged with possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, criminal use of a communication facility and possession of drug paraphernalia. Arraigned before duty District Judge Anthony Kilker, of Shenandoah, Salata was taken to prison after being unable to post the required $25,000 straight cash bond.Members of the task force included officers from McAdoo, Kline Township and Rush Township police departments.
