Fire companies from throughout Carbon County battled a stubborn dwelling fire Sunday afternoon in Lehigh Township. The fire was first reported at 5:30 p.m. in the home along Waldon Lane about 5 miles north of Weatherly. When firefighters arrived on scene, flames and heavy smoke were showing.
