The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Carbon County in northeastern Pennsylvania Southwestern Monroe County in northeastern Pennsylvania Until 630 PM EDT.
At 534 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Sugar Notch, or near Wilkes-Barre, moving southeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Minor damage to vehicles is possible. Expect damage to
trees and power lines.

Albrightsville and Lake Harmony around 605 PM EDT.
Meckesville and Christmans around 610 PM EDT.
Jonas, Penn Forest Reservoir and Beltzville State Park around 615
PM EDT.
Kresgeville and Sun Valley around 620 PM EDT.
Gilbert and Brodheadsville around 625 PM EDT.
Rossland, Kunkletown and Saylorsburg around 630 PM EDT.
Other locations impacted by this severe thunderstorm include Trachsville, Weissport, Fiddletown, Parryville, Beaver Meadows, Weissport East, Merwinsburg, Effort, Tresckow and Lansford.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
In addition to large hail and damaging winds...frequent cloud to
ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors
immediately. Remember...if you can hear thunder...you are close
enough to be struck by lightning.
