Cody Michael Gloster, 21, entered guilty pleas in two pending criminal cases before Judge Steven R. Serfass, to one count each of corruption of a minor and criminal trespass. He was charged by Lehighton police for an incident on May 10, 2016, in the area of Lehigh Drive when he admitted smoking marijuana with ajuvenile in a vehicle. The trespass count, a felony 3, occurred on Dec. 7, 2016, in the 300 block ofNorth Second Street in Lehighton. Borough police said Gloster and a co-defendant entered the then-unoccupied home without permission.A plea bargain with the district attorney's office stated the commonwealth did not oppose a probation sentence. However, Serfass rejected that.Serfass said he "must consider the defendant smoking marijuana with a juvenile."On the corruption count, Serfass sentenced Gloster to serve one to one day less 24 months in the county prison followed by one year of probation. On the trespass count, he was sentenced to two years of probation, with the terms running concurrently.Gloster must also render 250 hours of community service, get a drug and alcohol evaluation, supply a DNA sample, pay court costs of about $1,000 and a $50 per month supervision fee while on parole and probation. He will begin the jail term on July 10 at 9 a.m.
