On Tuesday the Summit Hill Heritage Center held its annual Fourth of July reading of the Declaration of Independence, along with other historical documents such as the Gettysburg Address and Patrick Henry's reconstructed speech. The turnout was better than in prior years, and the event was held under the gazebo at Ludlow Park in Summit Hill with gorgeous weather. Summit Hill Councilman David Wargo and Debra Ranck from the Summit Hill Heritage Center's leadership took turns reading the historical accounts after a brief historical background introduction from Wargo.
