An unknown number of people were injured in a crash Wednesday morning along Route 895 in West Penn Township. The crash occurred just after 11 a. m. as a car was traveling west and apparently stopped on the road. A pick-upÃÂ truck following slammed into the rear. The force of the impact drove the car across the east bound lane onto a lawn. The injured people were treated at the scene by members of the Penn Mahoning ambulance. West Penn Fire Company No. 1 fire police maintained traffic control at the scene. West Penn chief of of police Brian Johnson is investigating the incident. The driver of the pick-up truck was not injured.
