Becky Neumoyer, President of the West Penn Township Lions Club, commended the work in the community of the organizations that were recipients of check donations made possible by the Lions Club fundraising, and thanked the representatives who were present at a picnic event at West Penn Park on June 3. The representatives of the organizations receiving checks were, from left: Mary Gursky from West Penn Township Lioness Club, Scot Dietrich from West Penn Township Community Park Commission, Ginny Woodward from Tamaqua Adult Day Care, West Penn Lions Club President Becky Neumoyer, Eric Zizelmann from Tamaqua Public Library, Valerie Coombe from Penn Mahoning Ambulance, and Dennis Fritzinger from West Penn Township Fire Company No. 1. Representatives from the Boy Scouts of America Troop 755 in Clamtown, Tamaqua Salvation Army, and the D.A.R.E. Association were not present, but those organizations received check donations as well.
