A Schuylkill County woman was injured in a one-vehicle crash Thursday morning.

State police at Frackville said Krystal Schantz, 26, of Minersville, was driving a 2006 Ford Fusion westbound and up a hill on Brockton Mountain Road in Ryan Township at 10:08 a.m. when she fell asleep. The Ford went onto the berm for about 140-feet before the front end hit a tree.Troopers said Schantz got out of the car and walked back to the road. She was later flown by medical helicopter to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, with head injuries, troopers said. Ryan Township ambulance and fire personnel assisted at the scene.The car was towed.
