PennEast Pipeline Company announces its eighth round of grant awards through its Community Investment Program.

Local recipients:• Lehighton Borough Police Department, Carbon County: Body cameras for new surveillance system.• Northampton County Fire School: New equipment for hazardous materials training.• Peaceful Knights, Carbon County: Fix damaged homeless shelter roof.The company said it has presented more than $600,000 in grants to communities along the proposed pipeline route from Mercer County, New Jersey, through Northampton, Carbon and Luzerne counties.
