Weissport's Founder's Day celebration will begin at noon today and continue until 7 p.m.

The event will include entertainment, music, historical displays, free kids games, ethnic food and cake walk. Beltzville Lions will be offering free old-fashioned picnic games and other activities for children, with prizes for winners.There will also be a self-guided walking tour of historical businesses and homes which were vital to the formation of the town.There will be a Chinese auction to benefit homeless animals.Jacob's UCC will host historical displays such as postcards and and antique items. To display an item, bring it to the church before 11 a.m.Park and Franklin streets will be closed off to traffic, allowing visitors safer access to view the displays at Jacob's Church.There are two parking areas in town.
