Chilly water temperatures greeted those who turned out for the 11:30 a.m. splash at the opening of the H.D. Buehler Memorial Bungalow Pool in Tamaqua.
The pool will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.Daily admission is $5 for district residents, Monday through Friday and $6 for Saturday and Sunday.Children under the age of 6 will be charged $1.Tamaqua area residents pay $10 per person for a season pass.According to the borough, the Tamaqua pool will honor the Lansford pool's season pass rate for residents of Coaldale, Lansford, Summit Hill, and Nesquehoning. Forms are available at the Tamaqua Municipal Building.Admission for visitors outside the district is $15 Monday through Friday, $20 Saturday and Sunday, and ages 6 and under, $1.
