Green receives Visionary Award from LV Chamber

Blue Mountain Resort's president and chief executive officer Barbara Green received the Visionary Award on April 13 at the Chairman's Dinner.

The event was hosted by the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce.Mike Harleman, president of the Carbon Chamber and Economic Development Corp. Board of Directors, presented the award to her. Green has expanded the Blue Mountain Resort to include the Summit Lodge with a restaurant and reception facilities and has plans for a six-story hotel/condominium and mineral springs water park.The resort was originally started by her father, Ray Tuthill, in the 1977.Barry Fisher, chairman of the Board of Governors, served as the master of ceremonies for the inaugural dinner, which was held at the Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem. The dinner also recognized the accomplishments of Rich Lerner and Stephanie Yachim.Lerner, a Lehigh Valley native, made an impact on the national stage as the Golf Channel's PGA Tour play-by-play host. He was presented with the Chairman's Award.Yachim, head of recruiting at Crayola Corp. in Easton, was presented with the Rising Star Award.
