Schuylkill County court - ARD

Schuylkill County President Judge William E. Baldwin accepted two people charged by local police into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program.

Entrance into ARD is not an admission of guilt. If they successfully complete the program, their records may be expunged.Travis Colt, 19, of New Ringgold, was charged by Tamaqua police with use or possession of drug paraphernalia on Nov. 23, 2016.Baldwin accepted him into ARD for 12 months, and ordered him to pay $350 to offset the cost of the program. He also ordered Colt to perform 10 hours of community service.Bradley R. McAloose, 19, of Tamaqua, was charged by borough police with possession of a small amount of marijuana on Nov. 23, 2016.Baldwin accepted him into the program for 12 months, and ordered him to pay $350 to offset the cost of the program. He also ordered McAloose to perform 10 hours of community service.Judge Charles M. Miller also accepted two people into the program.Nicole M. Arabaci, 34, of Tamaqua, was charged by borough police with criminal trespass on Dec. 10, 2016.Miller accepted her into ARD for 12 months, and ordered her to pay $350 to offset the cost of the program. He also ordered Arabaci to perform 10 hours of community service.He also ordered her to obtain drug and alcohol and mental health evaluations.Terri A. Bell, 39, of Pottsville, was charged by Tamaqua police with being involved in an accident involving damage, driving while her license was suspended, careless driving, disregarding traffic lanes, and failing to notify police of the accident on Nov. 19, 2016.Miller accepted her into ARD for 12 months, and ordered her to pay $350 to offset the cost of the program. He also ordered Bell to perform 10 hours of community service.Bench warrant dissolvedJudge James P. Goodman dissolved a bench warrant againstDerrick A. Lutz, 52, of Tamaqua, and set bail at $5,000 unsecured.Goodman ordered Lutz to continue to live at 142 Penn St., and not relocate unless he notifies the court in writing.Lutz was charged by Tamaqua police with driving under the influence, DUI-second offense, and failing to have high headlights on as required.
