Four people were injured Wednesday night when involved in a crash in Rush township. The crash occurred around 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of Route 309 and Tide road.
Both cars in the crash received heavy damage. Ambulances from Tamaqua, Luzerne county and Lehighton paramedics responded to the scene treating and transporting the victims. Route 309nwas reduced to one alternating lane at the scene.
The Hometown fire police maintained traffic control at the site. Rush township police are investigating the incident.
