Trinity Lutheran Church in Lehighton, hosted an event recently to commemorate the upcoming 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation. Trinity members the Rev. John F. Hazel Jr., portrayed Martin Luther and Sarah Dalton portrayed wife Katharina von Bora Luther. The gown was handmade for the event with donated fabric from the Thrift Store. Brides and grooms from the congregation shared their wedding photos in gallery-table-top-style through the decades, and bridal gowns were on display from their big days. Vicar Lauren Heywood sang three wedding selections as solos accompanied by Susan Lovejoy on keyboard. Congregational pastor the Rev. Nancy Moore offered the wedding toast, grace and benediction.
