McAdoo Police charge two from summer street brawl

Through an ongoing investigation, McAdoo police have been able to identify two men engaged in a street brawl from last Aug. 1.

Evans Olivio, 21, of McAdoo, and Gregory Reid Jr., 19, of Hazleton, were both charged with simple assault and disorderly contact.Police reports indicate numerous instances during the Summer of 2016 involving public disturbances in the area of Washington and Sheridan streets, which is also where the Olivio/Reed fight occurred.Surveillance videos collected from the area show the men fighting, gathering a large crowd of spectators, at 7 p.m. that day.Marino Paulino, 59, of Hazleton, was cited by police in connection with threats made on April 27.Officers were called to 68 N. Kennedy drive at 10:42 p.m. for a disturbance, possibly involving a weapon.Witnesses said Paulino tried to engage another male in a fight, threatening to use a gun and a knife. He fled the scene before officers arrived.He's been charged with making terroristic threats, simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct.
