Fire personnel were dispatched Wednesday afternoon to a structure fire on West Patterson street in Lansford.

Police were the first to arrive in scene reporting smoke showing from the two-story brick structure. Firefighters found the fire on the second floor in a plastic garbage can.

Firemen brought the debris out of the building to the sidewalk below. Fire companies from Lansford, Summit Hill, Coaldale and Tamaqua as well as Lehighton paramedics were dispatched to the scene. Lansford police are investigating the incident.
