A dispute between sisters resulted in a citation for harassment for Kirsten Smith, 52, of 246 W. Rowe St., Tamaqua.

According to the complaint filed with borough police, Smith sent her sister threatening messages by text.The charges were filed on April 25 after efforts to reach Smith were unsuccessful.Alexander Verta, 18, of Market Street, Tamaqua, was cited for failure to heed a traffic control device.An officer witnessed him going through a stop sign at Hazle and Patterson streets at 9:49 p.m. on April 28.
